Vera Bella Enterprises Limited Company (VBELC)

Vera Bella Enterprises Limited Company (VBELC) is a university spin-off company established in October 2020 in the Science City of Muñoz. The company commercializes innovative, science-based food technologies developed from years of research at Central Luzon State University.

 

VBELC is best known for its flagship brand, Daerrys Tilapia Ice Cream and Cookies, an award-winning functional food innovation that transforms tilapia into highly acceptable, protein-rich desserts through a proprietary technology that removes the fishy smell and aftertaste commonly associated with fish-based products.

Vera Bella Enterprises Limited Company is a science-based food innovation MSME established to commercialize sustainable aquaculture-derived food technologies developed through research and innovation initiatives at Central Luzon State University (CLSU), Philippines.

The company transforms low-value tilapia into innovative, nutritious, and commercially viable food products designed to improve consumer acceptance of fish-based nutrition while strengthening inclusive local food systems.

By transforming tilapia into nutritious, value-added desserts, the company creates a new market opportunity that increases consumer acceptance while generating inclusive livelihood opportunities across the aquaculture value chain.
